• International customer and supplier assistance.
• Support for the purchasing team in all relevant activities.
• International purchasing negotiations.
• Identify market trends and innovations within the product groups.
• Proactively identifies customer needs and potential solutions to meet or exceed customer expectations, including contracting program sales and identifying spot business trading
• Optimize sourcing processes.
• Provides seasonal updates to customers on specific commodities to support customers in determining optimal promotional opportunities.
• Delivery process planning.
• Order processing and monitoring of the flow of goods.
• Planning and tracking of various packaging lines.
• Contact with various service providers.
• Monitor vessel departures and arrivals to maximize free port time and reduce stock holding at port.
• Reduce freight costs by maximizing load fills.
• Organize all transport, freight from port to Packhouse/Direct Supply as required against current supply base requirements.

• Advanced knowledge of principles and methods for promoting and selling products and services
• Industry trends, concepts, and standards including the produce retail, wholesale, and foodservice markets.
• Independent, precise, and structured working method.
• Team skills, tenacity, motivation.
• Demonstrable integrity and trust in all activities, with the ability to work with a sense of urgency.

• Good knowledge of MS Office.
• Highly developed written and oral communication skills, including ability to listen and communicate information and ideas clearly through a variety of mediums.
• German and Spanish working proficiency preferred
