Description
SUMMARY
Whitesky Communications partners with student housing, luxury apartments, hotels, adult living, and assisted living/hospitals to provide bulk Internet, Cable, and Voice services.
As a Project Manager, reporting to the Director of Project Management, you will be responsible for end-to-end management of assigned WhiteSky projects within our overall portfolio.
The PM must offer strong leadership, communication, and management skills and demonstrate values of commitment to delivery and team collaboration.
#LI-BW1PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate assigned WhiteSky contracts in detail to assess project scope/services and document in appropriate operational/PM systems
- Develop project plans and schedules to include execution approach and key milestones
- Coordinate with all external project stakeholders (Owners, GCs, Property Management, Contractors, etc.) to keep them apprised of key developments and to coordinate WhiteSky activities
- Coordinate with all internal WhiteSky functions (Carrier Management Team, Engineering, Install, Warehouse, etc.) to share scope and prepare for project execution and delivery
- Regularly update project schedules/documentation and provide project status updates to internal and external stakeholders
- Purchase and coordinate installation of low voltage construction scopes through third party contractors.
- Identify potential scope changes and initiate project/contract change request process when needed
- Conduct site visits as needed throughout construction phases and in advance of onsite install
- Proactively identify and communicate project risks and issues to WhiteSky senior leadership and property stakeholders
- Work with WhiteSky installation and engineering teams to monitor delivery execution
- Serve as liaison between Installation team, GG, Owners, etc. during the project execution phase
- Oversee thirdparty installation support if/when necessary
- Assess accuracy and quality of installation in accordance with contract requirements and WhiteSky standards
- Verify final completion of project requirements and oversee a formal project closeout
- Review all final project documentation and ensure it is stored in appropriate systems
- Transition all pertinent project/project data to the WhiteSky Support team
- Participate in weekly WhiteSky Operational and Planning meetings
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Low voltage construction experience
- Preferably in Ethernet and Fiber optic data structured cabling systems.
- Prior Project Management experience
- Willingness to travel to assigned projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaboratively partner with many project stakeholders
