    The Opportunity

    The goal of the Maintenance Technician I in the GenMark team is to support the development and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, instruments, fixtures, and tooling used in manufacturing, research, and development environments.

    This role is a night shift from 9:30 pm to 6:00 am 5 days per week.

    You are:
    • Troubleshooting Mechanical, Electrical and Software issues on GenMark's ePlex Cartridge and Consumable manufacturing equipment
    • Making necessary repairs and/or adjustments to manufacturing equipment with close to moderate supervision
    • Follow step-by-step instructions to perform assigned preventative maintenance on manufacturing and R&D equipment and instruments to the manufacturers' specification
    • Document Equipment and Engineering activities in accordance with established procedures, company policies and FDA
    • Assist with process improvement projects as directed to include the spare parts program, fixtures needed to support manufacturing, R&D, and other company needs

    Who you are
    • You hold a High School Diploma is required with 0-2 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is preferred. FDA, cGMPs, ISO, or other regulated environment knowledge
    • Good facilitation, communication, self-discipline, teamwork, and task organizational skills

    Preferred
    • Direct hands-on experience in maintaining electro-mechanical equipment
    • Knowledge and experience with laboratory diagnostic instrument software and systems
    • Experience with automated liquid reagent dispensing systems (Biodot, etc..)
    • Experience with surface modification (plasma, Corona, etc..) and spray coating
    • Experience with machine vision system (Cognex, Keyence, etc.)
    • Familiar with software programs such as Word, and Excel

    The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $44,800 - $83,200. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
