About the Role:
Core Functions and Responsibilities:
- Conduct QSR visits in public charter schools, providing evidencebased feedback to school leaders.
- Prepare highquality QSR reports within tight twoweek cycles, demonstrating efficiency and attention to detail.
- Plan, schedule, and facilitate the QSR program, ensuring effective stakeholder communication.
- Coordinate document and qualitative data collection with consultants, staff, and highstakes stakeholders.
- Serve as the communication liaison for QSRs, coordinating with QSR observers and school staff.
- Conduct quality assurance with the SQE Manager and TNTP consultants in evaluating the work samples and ratings for the Assignment Review Protocol
- Lead QSR report debriefs with school leaders, offering essential contributions to address questions from highstakes stakeholders.
- Oversee internal operations, scheduling QSR observations with consultants and staff.
- Coordinate observation windows with highstakes stakeholders, fostering positive and impactful relationships.
- Assist SQE Manager QSR data collection and analysis documents for ongoing program improvement and monitoring.
- Synthesize QSR findings for charter review and renewal reports.
- Support SQE Manager in updating QSR protocol and yearly training for school leaders, PCSB staff and consultants around QSR protocol and any changes or updates.
Competencies & Qualifications:
- Excellent writing skills.
- Reflective and responsive to critical feedback.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fastpaced environment.
- Resourceful with a proven ability to make things happen.
- Technical writing experience.
- Intermediate understanding of Common Core State Standards
- Advanced understanding of best practices in teaching and learning
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field required,
- At least three years of classroom teaching experience.
- Direct experience with special education and/or emerging multilingual learning is preferred.
- Successful completion of the Charlotte Danielson Framework for Teaching assessment is required within the first 45 days of employment.
- Demonstrate proficiency with The New Teacher Project (TNTP) Assignment Review Protocol for English language arts (ELA) and math within the first 90 days of employment.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation and Benefits Salary is competitive and commensurate with prior experience in a similar role. DC PCSB offers a comprehensive benefits plan covering 100% of the employee's insurance premium.
