We operate a busy hotel and are looking for a reliable and charming Security Guard. We want smiles, dedication, and the ability to create a comfortable upscale atmosphere for our customers.

Hotel security is responsible for the overall safety and security of the property, its employees, and our guests.

This position includes properly handling emergency situations, minimizing on-site theft, and monitoring hotel guests all while constantly working within the facility's high standards of hospitality.


This position requires a pre-employment background and drug test.

Security Guard Functions:


  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, serviceoriented manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Normandy Farm standards, as required by scheduling that will vary according to needs of the hotel.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.
  • Monitoring hotel guests attending the bar during the evening hours, keeping a professional hospitality atmosphere throughout the facility.
  • Ability to answer guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities and hours of operation.
  • Communicates with restaurant supervisor and bartenders on a regular basis.
  • Responsible for carrying and communicating with Bar staff through provided radio system.
  • Responsible for taking ID's and verifying the age of individuals entering the bar.
  • Responsible for supporting the Bar in their duties. To include, but not limited to, escorting guests from the bar, not allowing guests to bring outside beverages into the bar, locking up the bar at the end of the night.
  • Responsible for performing continuous property security sweeps, maintaining the integrity of the facility.
  • Securing all outside perimeter doors.
  • Patrol Bar, restaurant, terrace and private dining rooms. verify all guests have vacated the bar prior to closing up.
  • Turning off all unnecessary lighting in the facility.
  • Monitoring facility for employee / guest theft.
  • Properly filling out and processing guest / employee incident reports
  • Trained in various emergency procedures throughout the facility, including but not limited to fire and water shutoff procedures.
  • Acting as a liaison with fire or police emergency personnel when a potential situation arises.
  • Provides for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules.

Requirements:


  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Possess a basic knowledge of excellent service standards as well as etiquette.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, dealing with many arrivals and departures within a short period of time
  • Available to work weekends, evening shifts and major holidays (Easter, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving, along with other special events from time to time)
  • Mandatory compliance with all safety regulations, procedures, policies and rules
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Arrives punctually in full uniform with a neat & professional appearance at all times
  • Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, carrying, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance and in excess of 50 pounds with assistance
  • Must be able to multitask several different actions at once.
  • Experience with a fullservice hotel/guest relations preferred
