- Responsible for creation of BOM's, assembly drawings and detail CAD drawings per customer order requirements.
- Responsible for modifying existing CLiP products.
- Manage Sustaining Engineering projects to determine test requirements, performing or directing tests, report out on projects to management while meeting customer delivery requirements.
- Responsible for providing training and technical support to functional departments within the company such as Manufacturing, Sales and AMS (Aftermarket Support) with regard to CLiP products.
- Evaluate non-conformances (NCR's) and determine disposition of material. Work with vendors and Manufacturing department to determine root cause and recommend/implement corrective actions.
- Perform mechanical and thermal calculations for CLiP products.
- Tools/process standards used: CAD software (Creo, Windchill); and FEA analysis.
- Ability to be cross trained on other G&W product lines.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (foreign equivalent degree acceptable).
- Experience in creating drawings and mechanical designs using CAD software (Creo, Windchill).
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical specifications, professional documentation and blueprints.
- Good communication skills with internal and external G&W customers.
- Must have the ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities, as well as the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Experience in Windchill/Creo
- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) using software packages (COMSOL)
- Experience in managing engineering and development projects
- Experience in product documentation such as work instructions, test reports and installation instructions
- General Office Environment, PC use

Job DescriptionPosition Summary:
Product engineer responsible for supporting G&W's Current Limiting Protector (CLiP), a fault current system protection device. The CLiP has the ability to provide high continuous current ratings with current limitation and ultra high-speed operation. It provides single-phase and three-phase protection on systems rated 2.8 kV through 38 kV with continuous current up to 5000A.
