Maintenance Supervisor at Battelle Energy Alliance dba Idaho National Labora in Idaho Falls, Idaho, United States Job Description Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor to work in our Facilities & Site Services department.
Responsibilities Include:
Manage a represented workforce that consists of skilled craft personnel. Manage the work of employees who perform the maintenance of the facility systems and complete shop work requests. Prepare work schedules, assign work, and oversee the work product. Provide training and resources to accomplish work safely and efficiently. Develop teams and recommend craft professional development opportunities. Support and represent the company in collective bargaining unit litigation and grievance matters. Work with management to implement established laboratory safety and work control policies, procedures, and standards. Understand strategic importance of collaboration with building tenants, research programs, and landlord organizations.
Formulate goals, standards, and objectives for the group; establishes a plan to achieve them, develop a budget corresponding to the plan, and ensure management of resources.
Interface with the customer in the dispatch of assigned responsibilities. May respond to operational and maintenance activities seven days per week, twenty-four hours per day. Promote a cooperative work environment. Provide leadership and supervision while observing and interacting with staff during execution of work in the field. Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and job orders. Instructs personnel concerning finishing work needed. Assist workers in resolving technical problems.Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, OR 13 years of relevant experience.
Relevant experience includes work experience relevant to maintenance and repairs of building systems and equipment or completion of relevant trade school.
Must have thorough understanding of OSHA principals systems promoted by the laboratory and how each is applied regarding work control and execution.
Knowledge in basic theory of the following:
