    Job Title: Data Science Director - Food and Beverage Industry

    Location: New York City, NY

    Position Overview: As the Data Science Director, you will be responsible for leading our data science initiatives, leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to extract actionable insights from complex data sets within the food and beverage industry. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions that optimize operations, enhance product development, and drive business growth.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage a team of data scientists and analysts to deliver high-impact insights and solutions.
    • Develop and implement data strategies and roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
    • Utilize advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze large data sets and extract actionable insights.
    • Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to apply cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to solve business challenges.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand business requirements and develop data-driven solutions.
    • Oversee the design and implementation of predictive models, recommendation systems, and other analytical tools.
    • Provide thought leadership on data science best practices, emerging trends, and industry developments.
    • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all analytics initiatives.
    • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
    • Proven experience (X years) in a data science or analytics leadership role, preferably within the food and beverage industry.
    • Expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling techniques.
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
    • Strong understanding of data visualization tools and techniques.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to develop and implement data-driven strategies.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases.
    • Knowledge of supply chain analytics, demand forecasting, or inventory optimization in the food and beverage industry.
    • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to data privacy and security.
