Hourly Compensation :
$58.075 hourly

Shift:
As Needed, typically from 8:00 AM-4:30PM. 7-day-a-week operation with weekend and holiday rotations.

Temporary Exempt - In accordance with San Francisco Charter Section 10.The Mission of the San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH) is to protect and promote the health of all San Franciscans.

Health at Home is the home health agency of SFDPH.

We provide service to homebound San Francisco residents who present with skilled nursing or rehab (PT, OT, speech) needs, such as wound care, diabetes management, post-surgery rehab, or medication management needs on an intermittent basis.

As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Speech and Language Pathologist provides community, home-based speech therapy services as well as completes OASIS as needed.

The qualified applicant pool resulting from this recruitment may be utilized to fill future exempt vacancies at various locations throughout DPH.

Diagnoses and manages dysphagia, speech-language, cognitive-communicative disorders, traumatic brain injuries and voice disorders
Conducts therapy with individual patients and evaluates their progress.
Generates clinical reports and records including evaluations, treatment, progress, and outcomes
Timely completion of required billing and related documentation
Prepares and obtains therapy materials and supplies consistent with plan of care
Supervised speech/language pathology student interns and participates in program development

Requires possession of a Speech Pathologist license issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs, Speech Language Pathology and Audiology Board.

***Possession of an ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence issued by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
