- Promote an inspiring and solution-focused team environment.
- Maintain professional working relationships with area coaches and support other CCR&R coaches as they encounter language & literacy concerns in the field.
- Research and stay current on quality early language and literacy learning and development practices.
- Consistently uphold network expectations and assist in developing and delivering new initiatives for early language and literacy learning and development.
- Acquire any needed certifications, including Learning Language and Loving It trainer certification and LENA GrowTM coaching certification.
- The ability to apply for and receive AIMHi Endorsement through AIMHi TN within the first year of employment.
- Provide training, technical assistance, and support to early childhood educators on early language and literacy development using various delivery methods to meet the needs of early childhood educators.
- Support developing and implementing Enhanced Quality Improvement Plans (EQIPs).
- Provide training and resource materials that early childhood educators can share with families.
- Promote activities created to support the use of books provided by GELF and Imagination Library.
- Support the implementation of the LENA GrowTM program across the state.
- Assist with the delivery of training and technical assistance through participation in training events as the State may request or require.
- Collaborate with other CCDF partners to develop and inform language development-related training content.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Ability to maintain and share knowledge and understanding of early language and literacy development and learning consistent with quality practice and apply those within the structure of the TN CCR&R Network agencies.
- Ability to train adults using adult learning strategies.
- Must be able to assess the needs of clients and respond appropriately.
- Strong ability to integrate knowledge and theory into practice.

- A willingness to work some nights and weekends to meet the needs of the Early Childhood Educators.

- Must have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Education, Early Childhood Education, Family and Consumer Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in the field of early childhood or a closely related field.
- A passion for early language and literacy development.
- Must demonstrate a high level of initiative and the ability to work well independently.
- Must be a systems thinker who sees the broad picture and works well in a collaborative environment.
- Must be well organized and demonstrate excellent time management skills.
- Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Dependable transportation, valid driver's license, and insurance required.
- Physical examination and negative TB test results must be on file with Signal Centers.
- Willingness to travel throughout the service delivery area consistent with CCR&R regions as the Grantee may define.

Are you passionate about Literacy in Early Childhood and great at coaching teachers?
This is a new focus area for the Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) in Tennessee. We are still filling this position in MEMPHIS - Shelby County, TN
Coaches must live in and be able to travel frequently throughout their Tennessee service area.
