    Description

    Overview:

    • Work at the 4th Surgery Med Surg Unit, a 45-bed specialized unit focusing on preoperative and post-operative care.

    Sign-on Bonus: This role qualifies for a sign-on bonus.

    Job Summary:

    • Responsible for providing direct patient care and assisting with daily operations.
    • Coordinates patient care, manages resources, communicates effectively, and ensures regulatory compliance.

    Essential Functions:

    • Support manager in enhancing nursing practice and service delivery.
    • Assist with recruitment, supervision, and communication within the department.
    • Collaborate with team to comply with healthcare laws and regulations.
    • Round on patients, staff, and physicians to assess care quality and department operations.
    • Delegate care tasks appropriately and evaluate progress towards goals.
    • Manage patient flow, staffing, and resources efficiently.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to perform various physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing.

    Education, Experience, and Certifications:

    • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure.
    • Minimum two years of nursing experience preferred, along with previous management experience.
    • BSN required.
    • RN candidates without BSN must enroll in a program within 1 year of hire.
    • BLS certification required.
    • Professional certification required within 1 year of eligibility.
