We are currently seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our Finance team.At Johnson Lambert we relentlessly strive to advocate for our clients and employees, and inspire an environment that embodies agility, respect, and trust.
As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will work collaboratively with professional staff to perform or assist in effectively executing various aspects of the daily internal accounting process.
This position will be hybrid, requiring 2-3 days per week minimum in the Raleigh office
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities:
Assist with month end close processPrepare monthly balance sheet reconciliationsCode invoices and oversee in accounts payables processesReconcile cash disbursements and manage accounts receivable collectionsProvide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary documents and account information to perform annual 401k auditAssist in filing various tax payments and property tax forms to state and local agenciesEnsure accurate and timely processing of semi-monthly payrollEssential Qualities and Skills:Familiarity with basic accounting principles, procedures, and terminologySuperb editing, proofreading and grammar skillsStrong attention to detail and a commitment to qualityAbility and willingness to learn new software applications with assistance and trainingCapacity to analyze data and draw logical conclusionsWork collaboratively with team members across all business unitsEffective interpersonal skills, with an ability to interface with clients, personnel and service providers at all levelsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsFollow written and oral directions and instructions; maintain client confidentialityA self-starter with a service-minded attitudeHighly organized and structured when approaching tasks and responsibilitiesAbility to effectively manage conflicting priorities and organize workflowAbility to work flexible schedule depending on on business needsDesired Education & Experience:At minimum an Associate's degree in Accounting and 5+ years of experience in a similar roleAdvanced Microsoft Office and Google Suite experiencePrior experience with accounting and/or tax software a plusExperience with Certinia (formerly FinancialForce) or Salesforce desiredRemote work experience preferredSalary Range $70,000 - $80,000The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Johnson Lambert considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions
