- Assists with management of dock operations
- Ensure daily production goals and safety objectives are achieved
- Presents a professional, clean appearance and provide courteous service to all customers and donors
- Responds quickly to bell for customer service needed at dock
- Assists customers lifting the donated items, in store and in vehicle
- Utilizes resources to assist with heavy lifting, such as hand truck, electric forklift (must be certified) or other staff to help
- Assists drivers with unloading of large and heavy donated items and with loading of items for recycling or delivery
- Assists with management of backroom operations
- Responsible for staging of product in and out of backroom
- Ensure daily production goals and safety objectives are achieved
- Follows pricing guidelines to properly mark items for sale
- Brings items out to floor for display and stocking
- Lead, guide and/or train other stocker staff in performance of related work
- Other duties as assigned
- Knows the eight wastes (over-production, transportation, inventory, defects, over-processing, excess movement, Customer waiting time, wasted employee potential)
- Identifies and acts on opportunities for operational improvements within work area
- Identifies and participates in eliminating waste within the Processing Center
- Shares expertise and knowledge to support growth and development of others enabling them to grow and improve in performance
- Other duties as assigned
- Less than high school education or High School diploma or GED
- Two (2) years' experience in Receiver/Stocker operations
- Knowledge of:
- Reading comprehension (Intermediate level)

- Frequently lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds

- Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts, if applicable.
- Occasionally works in high precarious places.
- Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions.

Job DescriptionOVERVIEW
The Receiver-Stocker Lead is tasked with the ability to assist with managing the donations dock and/or backroom operations while performing courteous and professional services to assist donors and staff with processing the donations and stocking the items. In stores with heavier donations volume, this position may be assigned to either dock or backroom operations to ensure the success of the SVdP mission.
