    Bilingual HR Services Specialist 2nd shift

    Pella, IA

    Summary:

    Partners with the business at assigned location(s) to ensure HR processes are consistently followed. Drives and supports HR objectives to improve effectiveness and efficiency of support and services. Provides onsite HR support as necessary in addition to handling complex team member and manager questions or concerns from multiple locations. Works to maintain positive team member relations and retention. Positively influences front line managers to encourage a healthy connection between managers and their team members to form mutual respect, trust, and appreciation.

  • Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Handles escalations fromHR Services Coordinatorsfor situations outside of the scope of other specialist teams.
  • Create content for Knowledge Articles on going as needed to ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
  • Local TA responsibilities
  • Job appointments/Job displacements/Job reclassifications
  • New hire orientation (facilitating training & orientation for benefits, policies, etc.)
  • Facilitate Training for Team Members and People Leaders (RWE, manager roundtables, etc.)
  • Winter LOA process
  • Plant specific anything (comp, evals, etc.)
  • Stay attuned to organizational and operational changes to identify potential team member engagement risks and raise awareness with manager.
  • Provide onsite HR presence with scheduled walk arounds.
  • Act as a back up to the Employee Relations Team as needed.
  • Partner with Communities of Expertise (CoEs) and Business HR through execution of talent strategies and proactive communication of relevant identified needs or concerns of team members or People Leaders.
  • Monitor and communicate team member performance evaluation processes.
  • Provide training and support to team members and People Leaders on navigation of the MyHR portal, Oracle HCM applications, and UKG.
  • Responds to and represents the Company as needed for unemployment claims.
  • If assigned, act as primary representative of HR for union locations ensuring adherence to the CBA and positive relations with union team members and representatives.
  • Depending on work location, may fulfill other HR responsibilities onsite.

    Qualifications:

    Education and/or experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university
  • Two to five years human resources experience
  • Language skills

    Bilingual in Spanish

    Critical competencies or skill sets

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write performance or disciplinary documents and correspondence. Ability to arrive at decisions or resolutions that are legal, fair, and appropriate for the Company's culture. Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to resolve conflict and provide coaching. Ability to train and explain more complex processes or procedures.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS for Sr. Specialist, HR Services

    Extensive HR experience and proven record of exercising independent seasoned judgement. Ability to coach and mentor others on the HR services team with less expertise. Ability to advise or handle escalated issues. Ability to draft and/or revise policies and procedures in partnership with legal and HR leadership.
