Description

Pharmaceutical technical assistants are part of the pharmaceutical staff and, under the supervision of a pharmacist, dispense medication, prepare ointments and other formulations, and test the quality of medicines and chemicals in the pharmacy laboratory.


The training lasts 2.5 years and consists of two years of classes at a vocational school and a final six-month pharmacy internship.

Given the increasing awareness of health in our society, the profession of pharmaceutical technical assistant is becoming increasingly important.

The work, which is characterized by personal and professional conversations with customers, counseling, and educating patients about their health, requires not only a solid knowledge base and a strong sense of responsibility, but also a passion for working with people.


Specific areas of learning include:

  • Dispensing prescriptions
  • Advising and providing over-the-counter medication
  • Offering and providing services
  • Participating in business development and management
  • Quality control
  • Producing medications
  • Practical training for 4 weeks
