The Role
We're looking for
Business Analyst/Product Owner, who can deliver within Cognizant's Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence, which are: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development.

As a Consultant, you will analyze our insurance clients' business and technology challenges and build creative solutions to drive transformation.

You will be responsible for participating in the requirements analysis process, developing strong working relationships with clients and team members, and building industry and domain expertise.

Specifically, as a Business Analyst/Product Owner, you have the opportunity to deliver immediate value to clients by working with a project-based team of consultants.


Responsibilities:


  • Product Owner develops and drives the product vision and strategy as one of the closest people in the business to the customer, providing constant feedback to the team and helping to set and drive toward the vision.
  • Set ambitious and clear product vision and communicate 'the story' effectively to key stakeholders and the rest of the team.
  • Own the endtoend product strategy from inception and determine business value once solution enters production.
  • Ensure alignment of product features and stories, i.e., review, give feedback, and prioritize user stories in line with own vision.
  • Continuously improve backlog with the team, ensuring all items are clearly described, estimated, and prioritized (Organize the Backlog into Features and expected PI's)
  • Coordinates with business Analysts with necessary requirements, rules and known operational dependencies.
  • Ensure customerdriven design considering user pain points & usability test results, using market & industry knowledge as well as continual research, to deliver a wellpositioned product.
  • Approve each feature and provide valuable feedback for the team.
  • Drive sprint and release plans together with the Scrum Master and organizational technology teams.
  • Exercise strong decisionmaking mandate from executive group to own product endtoend.
  • Work with Tech lead to build a modular & reusable solution.

Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of experience in an agile environment, preferably as a Product Owner within Insurance domain.
  • Experience managing product development deliverables such as requirements gathering, user story writing, acceptance testing, and product launches.
  • Should own the endtoend strategy and roadmap for your assigned Agile team, and ensure alignment between roadmap and productlevel Objectives and Key Results.
  • Should have consulting skills, including effective communication, expectation management, and results delivery.
  • Deep knowledge of business concepts tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members, leadership, and business partners.
  • Execution focused with the ability to distill business needs into a clear execution plan.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar field.
  • Background in Management Education
  • Master's degree preferred.
