Downing Displays is a leader in the trade show industry and is seeking a Shop Fabricator to support our client's exhibits, events, retail displays and interiors.

Downing Displays has been offering unsurpassed services for the past 50 years in the design and fabrication, managing and storing as well as installation of creative displays and fixtures.
The Shop Fabricator will build and finish custom exhibit properties and fixtures to required specifications from detail drawings. They will produce quality, finished work using a variety of material within clearly defined, expected deadlines. Some previous experience in displays, millwork fabrication and installation is preferred.
Qualifications
- Carpentry experience in exhibit, retail display and/ or commercial millwork, inclusive of skilled carpentry techniques using saws, routers, pneumatic nail & staple guns, gluing and lamination as well as various power and handheld tools.
- Must have worked in same or similar environments fabrication of displays, cabinet, exhibits, wood / plastic / metal displays, etc.
- Able to read & comprehend detail shop drawings as well as adhere to quality building standards and specifications.
- Effectively work as part of a team while interfacing with all levels of staff and clientele.
- Work well in a fastpace, rapidly changing work environment.
- Adhere to company safety guidelines.
- Flexibility to work occasionally weekends and overtime during hectic, busy times with production deadlines looming.
- Comfortable with hand tools, drills, saws, tape measure, power tools, table saws etc.
- Able to be on feet for 810 hours per day and be able to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch & lift 50 pounds.
- Able to drive forklift; certification a plus.
Pay
:
$20 to $22 per hour depending on experience

- Carpentry: 2 years (preferred)
