Under the general direction of the Supervising Investigator I, the Office Technician (Typing) works independently and is responsible for all clerical functions in the field office and conducts routine administrative investigative tasks.

Special Requirements

  • The position(s) require(s) the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications (link available in the additional documentation section). You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired. Additional information regarding acceptable typing tests is available at the website.
  • The position(s) require(s) a(n) Typing Certificate. You will be required to provide a copy of your certificate prior to being hired.
  • MUST be able to type 40 words per minute and posses a valid typing certificate
  • Title 11, section 703 (d) of the California Code of Regulations requires criminal record checks of all personnel who have access to Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI). Pursuant to this requirement, applicants for this position will be required to submit fingerprints to the Department of Justice and be cleared before hiring. In accordance to DCA's (CORI) procedures, clearance shall be maintained while employed in a CORIdesignated position. Additionally, the position routinely works with sensitive and confidential issues and/or materials and is expected to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of documents and topics pertaining to individuals.
