Overview:


The responsibilities of the Director of Investments are to build out and be an advocate for efficient operational processes for the firm.

They are responsible for partnering with the Diverse Wealth Partners and home office to ensure processes are compliant.

They oversee the administrative functions of the investment department by maintaining required compliance records in accordance with securities industry rules.

The Director of Investments identifies process improvements in investment operations and participates in the development of operational skills for the people working on the team.


The Director of Investments is responsible for the management of client assets before and after the transition from the contra firm as directed by the investment policy statements designed in collaboration with clients.

The position also contributes to case preparation, research, and analysis of investment opportunities as requested by the partners.


Responsibilities:


  • Supervises the overall data administration, and service support functions of the investment operations department (account set up and maintenance, cashiering, order and check processing).
  • Identifies and recommends process improvements in the investment operations and administrative functions to enhance productivity and profitability for the office.
  • Primary contact for all trade correction and commission adjustment resolution inquiries.
  • Primary contact for client requests that require research or explanations.
  • Available for client meetings.
  • Handles portfolio audits and takeover proposals for all accounts for the team.

Fundamentals of training include but are not limited to:

  • New account processing
  • Mutual fund/ETF/Individual Equities/Municipal Bonds/Fixed Income basics
  • Account transfer procedures
  • Investment systems functionality (e.g., NetX360, Morningstar)
  • Operations support within the Network Office
  • Obtain Agency Supervisor review/approval for specific correspondence and forward to NMIS home office and/or Mutual Fund Company
  • Initiate ongoing communications with Network Office Supervisor and Network Office Management staff to identify potential compliance issues.

Client Responsibilities:


  • Review Complex financial plans after being drafted by Paraplanner.
  • Perform asset allocation analysis summary when necessary for client onboarding and/or current client's portfolio reviews. As well as the preparation of materials necessary for complex client meetings
  • Create custom and analyses needs for financial decisions utilizing Y charts, Black Rock Analysis and Morningstar.
  • Perform research on investments that clients currently hold or may hold and create a summary comparison.
  • Answer routine client questions and service requests.

Team Responsibilities:


  • Help train Analysts and Paraplanner on the process, tools, and methodology used by the team.

Firm Responsibilities:


  • Understand and support the firm's vision, mission, and strategy.
  • Engage in teamwork and team building and integrate into the culture of the firm.

Growth Responsibilities:


  • Support Lead Advisors/Managing Director by creating presentations and materials for business development meetings.
  • After 90day review. Attend business development meetings with Partners or Lead
  • Advisors/Managing Directors and take responsibility for followup tasks.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree (Completion of education and achievement of degrees and designations)
  • Required: Series 63 and Series
  • Three to five years of securities industry experience preferred; finance background or related experience will be considered.
  • Trading experience of transferring assets.
  • Familiarity with operations and supervisory requirements associated with general securities preferred
  • Prior training and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to build rapport and exercise resourcefulness and understanding
  • Utilize negotiation skills, ability to adapt to changing environment, ability to lead change
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with others
  • Proficient computer skills and technical skills
  • Displays excellent critical thinking.
  • Communicating with clients in an effective manner
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Knowledge of planning areas including financial planning, investments, budgeting, taxes, risk management, and estate planning
  • Mastery of the financial planning process

Pay:
$75, $100,000.00 per year
