We are looking for a highly organized, creative thinker who can support a staff and parish that is active and committed to St.

Columba's mission.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Staffs the parish office and assists visitors, volunteers, and parishioners
  • Answers the telephone, distributes messages, and keeps the outgoing telephone message uptodate
  • Oversees the church calendar, coordinates submissions and maintains event spreadsheet, collaborates with operations manager to ensure posted information is correct
  • Monitors/responds to daily inquiries and communication requests from staff/parishioners
  • Checks and distributes mail daily
  • Monitors postage meter for supplies and sufficient postage
  • Administers the SafeChurch program
  • Assists Minister for Member Engagement in verifying Realm profile requests through inperson or Zoom meetings
  • Updates website content weekly including copy editing, posting news, bulletin and embedded YouTube videos, creates new pages using a template
  • Writes and edits website, print, social media, and enews copy
  • Oversees social media content calendar in Hootsuite; posts as needed
  • Completes seasonal and special projects as directed

  • Develops and supports relationships with parishioners and staff members (good at customer relations)
  • Delivers under deadline
  • Familiarity with values, practices, and terminology of the church is a plus
  • Experience with computer systems (Apple), Google Workspace, Microsoft Office 365, Realm (membership) software, Constant Contact, Hootsuite, Survey Monkey, social media management, and the Adobe Suite of Products.

  • Parish Office duties are kept current and completed with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Information is consistently provided on schedule in clear and compelling format
  • Internal systems are maintained effectively

Pay:
$47, $52,000.00 per year
