PRIMARY PURPOSE

Execute tasks related to the deli service counter and prepared foods to uphold the department's appearance, quality, variety, safety, and food safety at top-notch levels consistently.

Uphold a strong company culture in alignment with the Hannaford Strategy. Foster customer relationships and raise customer awareness with enthusiasm.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Welcome and assist customers in finding and choosing products.
Provide exceptional and friendly customer service, utilizing expertise to offer solutions exceeding customer expectations.
Slice, cut, prepare, weigh, and package products following set standards and quality objectives.
Handle multiple orders simultaneously while upholding customer service and quality benchmarks.
Support and aid the Service Counter operations.
Maintain the highest product quality standards to reinforce our departmental strategy.
Attain productivity benchmarks as per Management Planning guidelines.
Expand product knowledge across various departmental areas.
Execute assigned cleaning duties following company policies.
Support in training other team members and carry out additional tasks as delegated.

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience in delis, restaurants, or food service is beneficial but not mandatory.
Proficient in communication, customer service, and sales skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to work collaboratively.
Ability and openness to learn various job tasks and technical aspects.
Skilled in multitasking and prioritizing within a dynamic environment.
Must meet required age criteria.
Physically capable of meeting the demands of the role with or without accommodations.
Completion of Deli Service Case Associate training is preferred.

Physical Requirements

Lift objects up to 15 lbs. frequently and up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
Reach to shoulder lifting 20 lbs. often and overhead occasionally.
Push/pull 315 lbs. regularly and up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
Perform repetitive hand, arm, and grasping motions while standing or walking for most of the shift.
Meet the volume activity standards set for the department.
Engage in frequent bending, reaching, grasping, and lifting of produce at or above waist level.
Utilize hands to handle controls, objects, and tools for operations and cleaning tasks.
Handle various substances related to cleaning and food products.
Tolerate working in hot/cold environments for up to 20 minutes at a stretch.

Salary range offered is $24.75 per hour.
