**Job Summary**
**Saint-Gobain, a Global Top Employer, is looking for a Packer/Shipping Assistant**
**8am - 4pm Monday-Friday**

**Scope:** Prepare items for shipment according to customer and company specifications. Assist and act as backup for shipping duties.
Packaging components according to customer and company specifications
Ensure the proper quality and shipping documentation is included as necessary
Weighing packages and labeling them appropriately
Inspecting packages to ensure they are not damaged
Inspecting shipping containers to ensure they meet shipping regulations
Keeping records of packages including delivery notes, invoices, etc.
Assist in maintaining inventory of required packaging components
Filling out packing and order forms with the relevant shipping information
Sealing shipping containers and labeling them appropriately
Cleaning shipping containers and other shipping supplies
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety standards and procedures
Train and act as backup for shipping duties as needed
**Required Qualifications**
High school diploma or equivalent.
1-2 years packaging experience required.
Experience shipping UPS, FedEx, LTL an added bonus.
Able to operate independently and as part of a team.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
Effective communication skills, written and verbal.
Able to read and follow SOPs, labels, and instructions.
Self-motivated worker, able to make independent decisions and set priorities in dynamic environment.
