The New York Jobs CEO Council is looking for a detailed and innovative team member to join as Events and Program Coordinator to support the Jobs Council's events and student engagement efforts.

The Events and Program Coordinator will support efforts to build the local talent pipeline to advance internship and job opportunities across Jobs Council members.


The Events and Program Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Events & Student Engagement and help to develop, support, and execute on the entire portfolio of Jobs Council events.

They will participate in a wide range of activities across our employer members and CUNY campuses for both virtual and in-person events.

This role will partner closely with the Student Engagement Associate and Director of Student Engagement and Events to increase student awareness and readiness for internship and full-time job opportunities.


In this role we'll trust you to:

  • Plan and execute student-facing events, both virtually and in-person
  • Support and/or plan and execute executivelevel events
  • Support Student Engagement Associate with oncampus efforts to engage CUNY students
  • Collect and manage event specific data
  • Provide project support to the Director of Events and Student Engagement and across various Jobs Council initiatives, as needed
  • Collect feedback from students and key stakeholders to strengthen Jobs Council initiatives and incorporate into student engagement strategy Build trusting relationships with jobseekers and CUNY stakeholders

About You:

The Events and Program Coordinator brings the following attributes to the role:

Qualifications And Skills

  • 23 years of relevant professional experience with demonstrated experience in event execution across live/virtual events
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills
  • High level of independence, energy, and integrity; demonstrates respect for a diversity of opinions and styles, and accepts accountability and responsibility
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly teamoriented and constantly working for the overall good of the organization
  • Ability to effectively manage/coordinate simultaneous projects and successfully prioritize multiple tasks with sound judgment.
  • Strong technical skills. Proficient in MS Office, event technology tools and strong PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to be in New York offices 3 days a week in our current hybrid model
  • Ability to travel across the five boroughs to the CUNY campuses and employer sites
  • CUNY grad/CUNY experience is a plus
Salary for this role is commensurate ranging from $70,000-$75,000 annually.
