Responsibilities include:


  • Curating and creating dynamic photos and video content related to our books, authors, and events
  • Managing daytoday scheduling, posting, and optimization of content across social media platforms
  • Executing creative content programs and influencer campaigns
  • Planning, producing, and implementing largescale influencer campaigns, partnered giveaways, brand copromotional programs, integrated digital events, and content campaigns for Random House titles
  • Keep up to date with current technologies and trends in social media to present to the team
  • Assessing social media analytics using digital tools to track published content in efforts to enhance our data driven social strategies
  • Assist in developing best practices and guidelines for imprints and authors
  • Work with the larger Random House Publishing Group team to coordinate divisionwide social media promotions and backlist marketing initiatives

The Essentials:


  • Minimum 4 years of experience managing social media content for a brand or digital media outlet
  • Book publishing experience is not required, but familiarity with book culture is a plus
  • Proficient across all social media platforms, especially Instagram and TikTok
  • Proven ability to craft innovative social media campaigns and oversee their implementation for multiple product launches at a time
  • Extensive experience creating visual content daily in a timesensitive environment
  • Ability to predict, anticipate, and respond to trends and engaging moments on various social platforms
  • Developed eye for catchy and interesting content that can elevate social traffic and overall community engagement
  • Creative mindset alongside excellent project management, organizational, and collaboration skills
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to craft engaging and thoughtful copy
  • Strong time management, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • A great communicator, able to collaborate with other marketers and the publicity teams
  • Fluent in Canva and Adobe Photoshop
  • Understanding of social media analytics and listening tools is preferred but not a requirement
  • Understanding of key social measurement metrics
  • A passion for social media and for books is a must
