We are seeking a Shipping/Receiving Laborer Associate with excellent organizational skills and a passion for fine-tuning our processes.

The Shipping/Receiving will be responsible for ensuring that all incoming steel shipments are properly received and stored and that all documentation is correctly filed according to company policies.

All outgoing shipping to customers are properly accounted for and loaded securely.

This is a fast-paced position with lots of responsibility, so we're looking for an individual who enjoys working in a collaborative environment.

Must have minimum a "For Hire" endorsement, or CDL.


Responsibilities:

• This position must be able to properly load and unload trucks, make deliveries when needed and work in outside elements.
• Receive shipments of materials/supplies from vendors.
• Communicate with suppliers and customers to ensure that shipments arrive on time and as ordered.
• Prepare proper paperwork for shipments (ie. Bill of Ladings, Ship list, Material Certs)
• Locate material/goods to be shipped and ensure quantities are correct
• Able to secure all loads (regardless of dimensions) for transport
• Banding/packaging of pallets
• Predelivery truck inspections
• Ability to operate forklift and overhead cranes
• Operate all company vehicles, trailers and equipment in a safe manner at all times
• Follow all company and vendor proper PPE requirements
• Must have valid Indiana Drivers license with "For Hire" endorsement a Class A or B a plus
• Pass required Physical and Drug Screen

Above duties are intended to describe the general nature and level of work to be performed but are not limited to.

All personal may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed.


Qualifications:

• Experience in a warehouse setting, with a background in shipping & receiving and order fulfillment.
• Proficiency in operating a forklift and overhead cranes
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate picking & loading of structural steel.
• Possession of a valid driver's license, preferably CDL A or For Hire endorsement, for load & unload tasks.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel for data entry and tracking purposes.
• Ability to operate a over head crane for heavy lifting tasks.

Pay:
$ $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

License/Certification:
