Description

• Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and oral surgeries.
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and materials are sterilized and properly organized.
• Take dental xrays as instructed by the dentist.
• Provide chairside assistance to the dentist by handing them instruments, maintaining suction, and keeping the patient comfortable.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and postoperative care instructions.
• Record patient information, treatment plans, and clinical notes accurately in electronic dental records.
• Schedule appointments and maintain an organized and efficient patient flow.
• Perform basic laboratory duties, such as pouring and trimming dental models and fabricating temporary crowns.
• Assist in the maintenance of dental equipment and inventory management.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assisting program preferred.
• Xray certification in accordance with state regulations (if applicable).
• Prior experience as a dental assistant is desirable but not required.
• Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials.
• Familiarity with dental software systems and electronic dental records.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
