Our task is to ensure fair competition. Therefore, the decision-making departments conduct searches in companies of all economic sectors to uncover cartels. This often involves seizing electronic evidence such as laptops, smartphones, email and file servers, and data from cloud services.

The task of the "IT Forensics" department (Z3A) is to make the often large amounts of data accessible to the decision-making departments. This includes providing technical support for the seizure of IT evidence during on-site searches at companies and preparing this data for the case handlers in the decision-making departments.
