- Develop new business, maintain existing accounts, and minimize lost opportunities to drive profitable sales growth and meet special objectives within the designated territory.
- Identify and qualify potential leads according to company account priorities.
- Understand customer business requirements and craft product and service mixes to fulfill those needs.
- Keep abreast of market trends, recommend suitable products based on customer needs and objectives, and provide competitors' product and pricing comparisons to customers as added value.
- Address customer queries about products, pricing, availability, and usage.
- Provide product details and practical training to customer staff.
- Drive to customer locations, events, and company gatherings.
- Assist with accounts receivable collection when necessary, coordinating with the credit department and clients to ensure timely payments.
- Coordinate deliveries as per the transportation department's schedule; troubleshoot any order-related issues (e.g., out-of-stock items, special orders, low inventory).
- Engage in company events, promotions, customer visits, and activities.
- Participate in general sales and district meetings.
- Attend regular training sessions and contribute to new employee training as needed.
- Analyze daily and weekly reports such as special-order requests, customer bids, and sales data.
- Handle administrative tasks like creating sales budgets and reports, managing sales records, processing credits, and filing reports.
- Perform any other assigned duties.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related field OR High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of experience in Restaurant Management, B2B, outside sales, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in more than one language
- Prior experience in Restaurant Management, Foodservice Outside Sales, or Chef roles
- Valid driver's license with a clean record (no multiple DUIs in the last 2 years)
- Adequate auto insurance coverage: Bodily injury - $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident; property damage - $100,000.
- Pass pre-employment screenings (Drug Test, Background Check).
- Agree to Sysco's Protective Covenants Agreement.
- Reside in or be willing to relocate to the area near the territory.
