    Description

    Description:

    A steel company that manufactures steel windows and doors for residential customers is seeking a Tester to build steel parts for window sash/door panel openings to ensure it meets quality standards for customers.

    • Ensures paint matches

    • Tests bifold doors/windows, sliders, and active doors and windows

    • Tests hardware (locks, hinges, etc) for smooth operation

    • Tests thresholds for functionality

    • Ensures everything is square and plumb.

    • Makes necessary adjustments to fix any functionality issues or sends back to correct work center.

    • Wears required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensures safe operation of all equipment.

    • Works on Special projects and performs other duties as assigned. (5-10%)

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:


    • MUST have at least 6 months -1 year experience for carpentry or building similar equipment with great attention to detail

    • Able to interpret instructions both written and oral.

    • Able to work in a team with co-workers to resolve work-related issues.

    • Knowledge of basic shop math, including the ability to measure to 1/32".

    • Able to learn to read, understand, and interpret production drawings and shop orders.
