Responsibilities:


  • Pick up clients from home or other living facilities using company provided wheelchair accessible minivan. Provides the assistance required to safely board clients and caregivers.
  • Transports clients to and from medical appointments, dialysis, and clinics in
    _Prince George's County, Montgomery County, Southern Maryland, and boundaries counties

  • Checks the van to ensure that no personal items are left behind.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations regarding nonemergency medical transportation.
  • Operate mobile devices, mobile software system, and operate GPS unit.
  • Immediately reports traffic accidents to dispatcher, requesting police or ambulance service as needed.
  • Communicate transport details with Dispatch.
  • Pre
- and post-vehicle safety and maintenance checks.

  • Other functions may be assigned.

Requirements:


Required Skills/Abilities:


  • Possession of patience and care with clients, and their caregivers.
  • Must be reliable and capable of working independently and remaining calm in case of emergency.
  • Must be flexible to work early morning, midmorning, and evening hours.

Education and Experience:


  • Must hold a currently valid driver's license and have an excellent driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent and fluency in English required.

Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and position clients frequently.
  • Ability to perform considerable reaching, stooping, and bending.

Job Requirements:


  • Must be able to pass a preemployment drug screening, background check, MVR screening, and physical.
  • Report to work on time and in proper uniform.
  • Maintain a strong attendance record.
  • Safely operate a wheelchair accessible vehicle.
  • Must be reliable and capable of working independently and remaining calm in case of emergency.
