CAD Operator

The CAD Technician will play a vital role in our AV, Cabling, and Security low voltage industry by creating detailed drawings and designs using AutoCAD and Revit to support multi-scope projects.

Working closely with our design and operations teams, the technician will collaborate on internal design concepts, tailor drawings to project requirements, and ensure seamless coordination among team members and other departments.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide BIM, Revit, and CAD services for preconstruction, construction, and post construction activities.
Collect, integrate, and audit data and processes.
Audit model and BIM/Revit and CAD data to ensure information integrity and consistency during the constructability, construction means, and methods processes as defined in the BIM/Revit and CAD requirements.
Manage model data to coordinate multiple disciples and design builders.
Produce accurate representations of markups provided.
Provide and format project team with BIM/Revit and CAD data throughout the lifecycle of the project.
Assemble drawing package sets and data sheets for submittal or permits on projects with varying complexity levels.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Two (2) year associates engineering, computer science, architectural or construction management degree preferred.
24 year AutoCAD experience and 6 month BIM/Revit experience.
Ability to determine construction detailing and techniques.
Excellent communication (verbal, written, and graphic) and interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate with all levels of project staff.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Basic understanding of low voltage systems

- cabling, AV, and security
- preferred.
