    Description

    Burke, Williams & Sorensen is seeking an associate attorney with 2 to 5 years' general litigation experience to join our growing Eminent Domain practice. Prior real estate and/or eminent domain/inverse condemnation experience preferred, but not required. Applicant should have experience drafting motions and discovery, attending court appearances and taking depositions. Excellent writing, research and analytical skills required.

    Compensation for associates at Burke ranges from $140,000 – $215,000 plus annual performance-based bonuses. The actual salary within those ranges will depend on the selected candidates' years of practice and experience.

    The firm offers a hybrid work arrangement option and an annual telecommute budget to support remote work. The firm's billable hour requirement is 1850. Attorneys receive competitive health insurance benefits, a 401(k) with a partial match, and are eligible for annual discretionary and billable hour bonuses.

    Burke's pro bono program affords attorneys opportunities to contribute in ways which are most meaningful to them both personally and professionally by giving associates billable credit for up to 40 hours of pro bono work.

    Burke also supports attorneys' business development goals by providing each associate with a yearly budget for attendance at continuing legal education and conferences.
