- Promotes and maintains patient health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician.
- Work under the direction of a fellowship-trained pain physician.
- Consider and work toward a long-term plan for each patient while attending to immediate, visit-specific needs.
- Interview and examine patients; review outside studies and medical histories.
- Treating a wide variety of patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and pain disorders,
- Performing trigger point, joint, nerve, and soft tissue injections.
- Reading X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and other imaging.
- Document patient care services on the day of service.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- At least 3 years of experience in pain management or any relevant specialties
- Experience with workers' comp patients is highly preferred
- Preference towards procedures is a plus
- Must have a current California license, graduate from an approved Nurse Practitioner Program, and be certified by the appropriate credentialing body.
- Minimum one year of experience as an NP/FNP
- One year of experience in Pain Management is preferred
- Active DEA license without restrictions.
- Must have a current California license.
