Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our team.
As a Payroll Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing and ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for employees accurately and on time
- Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits
- Calculate and process payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, and garnishments
- Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, leave, and overtime
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues or errors
- Prepare payroll reports for management as needed
- Stay uptodate with changes in payroll regulations and ensure compliance
- Collaborate with HR department to ensure accurate employee data in the payroll system
- Assist with yearend payroll activities, including W2 preparation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing or related role
- Strong knowledge of payroll software systems (e.g., Ceridian, Paychex, PeopleSoft)
- Proficient in doubleentry bookkeeping and account reconciliation
- Familiarity with corporate accounting principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Knowledge of technical accounting concepts such as journal entries is a plus
Job Types:
Full-time, Contract, Temporary
Pay:
$ $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
