Description

A leading critical access hospital located in northern Maine is currently searching for an experienced Financial Controller to join their accredited healthcare team.

This organization provides access to world-class acute care services to a population of roughly 14,000 people. The inpatient services provided include cardiology, emergency medicine, orthopedics, and wound care.

This system also provides various outpatient services including laboratory procedures, physical therapy, occupational therapy, radiology, chemotherapy, same-day surgery, cardiac and pulmonary rehab, nutritional counseling, home health, and respiratory care.

Reporting to theVP Financial Services, the Financial Controller will oversee all accounts payable, payroll, and general accounting functions for the organization.

The Financial Controller will also manage department human resources, review workflow and processes, identifies areas of improvement, develops internal policies and procedures, manages all monthly and year-end closings, leads and directs financial reporting, and prepares annual budgets and audits.

The Financial Controller serves as a subject matter expert of billing and collections of Medicare, Medicaid, and third party payers.

What Makes You Awesome

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Health Administration, or related
Proven experience in healthcare financial management
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting
