Our Profile:


The Chair of Psychological Assessment and Intervention is a new chair at the Institute of Psychology, which will start its operations on March 1, 2023 with Prof.

Dr. Thomas Günther.

The goals of psychological assessment are to describe, classify, explain, and predict human behavior and experience as accurately as possible, as well as to provide corresponding measurement instruments.

Psychological intervention deals with the treatment of mental disorders and psychological aspects of somatic diseases, as well as counseling for psychological problems or stress.

The chair is in the process of being established, is looking for talented individuals, and needs your support.


Your Profile:

  • You have professional and scientific experience in the field of clinical psychology and psychotherapy.
  • You have practical clinical experience in interacting with patients.
  • You have excellent didactic skills and ideally have experience in academic teaching.
  • You are confident, competent, and approachable towards our students.
  • You have knowledge in test and questionnaire construction as well as qualitative research methods.
  • You have a relevant doctorate.
  • You are willing to participate in the "Teaching at RWTH" program offered by Excellent Academic Teaching at the Center for Teaching and Learning Services (CLS).
