Job Description:
Provides executive protection and transportation. Participates in matters pertaining to the security and safety of the health system's entities, people, and property. Participates in confidential and sensitive investigations.
Job Responsibility
- Provides executive protection and transportation.
- Coordinates overall security and protection of all people, facilities, and property in the organization.
- Participates in internal and external investigations, as directed, for fraud or criminal activity against the company resulting in loss of assets, records or property as well as addressing threats made against employees, patients and visitors.
- Performs field surveillance and assists with maintenance of security systems; collects and maintains evidence against probable suspects.
- Maintains data and security reports.
- Collaborates with local law enforcement on investigations.
- Testifies in court, if necessary.
- Carries a firearm, as directed.
- May be called to assist in handling any organization emergency.
- Operates under general guidance and work assignments are varied and require interpretation and independent decisions on course of action.
- Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions.
- Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Current License to practice as a Security Guard in New York State, or Current License to practice as an Armed Security Guard in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
- 13 years of relevant experience, required.
