    Job Title: Casual Nuclear Medicine Technologist

    PRIMARY FUNCTION:

    • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures and PET/CT procedures

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform various nuclear medicine procedures
    • Maintain compliance with regulations
    • Demonstrate proficiency in contrast media injectors
    • Complete imaging procedures within scheduled times
    • Perform injections accurately
    • Transmit quality images to PACS system
    • Rotate on-call schedules for coverage

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • Associates Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology
    • One year of experience preferred

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

    • Skills in patient care for all ages
    • Proficiency in nuclear medicine and PET/CT procedures
    • Knowledge of departmental standards and policies
    • Ability to use medical equipment
    • Adherence to regulations
    • Ability to assess patient needs accurately
    • Computer skills for medical equipment
    • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely
    • Follow safety protocols
    • Ability to handle crisis situations

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Current certification from ARRT(N) or NMTCB
    • ARRT(CT) certification for PET/CT technologists
    • Licensed by State of Delaware Authority on Radiation Protection and/or State of Maryland
    • BLS certification
