    Summary:
    The sales team is looking for a Business Development Manager to develop the future growth strategy in the region.

    The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of the sales process and is responsible for providing expertise and maximizing revenue by creating, managing, and implementing best in-class sales development and strategies to maximize growth.

    This position will require collaboration with cross functional teams to help provide solutions for our customers.


    Schedule:
    The schedule follows normal business hours.
    Frequent travel to Certarus and customer locations is expected.


    Duties & Responsibilities:
    Develop comprehensive knowledge and expertise of the company's sales of compressed natural gas, renewable natural gas, and hydrogen. Setting volume and margin sales targets for compressed natural gas to commercial and industrial markets.

    Focus on developing sales strategies for operators within the following major departments:
    drilling, completions, facilities, production, gas marketing.
    Provide sales forecasts and allocate resources to meet sales targets.
    Build a strong relationship with key accounts to maintain a high level of service and client loyalty.
    Foster strong relationships with local Indigenous communities which could evolve into partnerships. Work closely with operations and support functions to facilitate solutions for the customer.
    Work closely with Certarus RNG and hydrogen groups to develop those markets.
    Recommend solutions that best fit customer requirements, present and future needs.
    Manage several strategic accounts and be responsible for profitable growth and pricing models of those strategic accounts.
    Remain up to date with advancements in marketing and the industry.
    Willingness to write daily reports for critical jobs and key clients.
    Strong ability to manage relationships at all levels.


    Requirements:
    Bachelor's Degree in applicable field or commensurate experience. Minimum 5 years sales experience.
    Prior experience in fuel distribution and/or industrial sales. Field Experience in; drilling, completions, production, facilities.
    Demonstrated ability in identifying and supporting the development and delivery of new products.
    Demonstrated success working in a collaborative environment requiring relationship development.
    Understanding of and prior experience working with Indigenous communities is an asset.
    Effective communication skills with the ability to manage relationships and interact with all levels.
    Experience developing and implementing a pricing strategy.
    Experience in negotiating contract terms, i.e., T&Cs, NDAs, Master Service Agreements, Supply Agreements, etc.
