    Fanatics Collectibles is looking for a Manager, Licensing & Partnerships, to support the highest priority, highest complexity, and highest visibility initiatives on our organization's strategic roadmap. Strong candidates can expect to "rotate" across projects in the operations organization, gain exposure & tackle key business objectives. The ideal candidate is a highly flexible self-starter with top-notch analytical skills, can manage cross-functional teams effectively and demonstrates propensity for solving difficult problems. Candidates with a passion for sports, culture, & entertainment will likely find themselves a strong cultural fit.

    Responsibilities:

    Partner Management:
    • Lead the strategy and relationship with key licensors. Partner with key stakeholders and cross-functional partners to drive alignment, execution, and overall communications.
    • Lead partner adoption of key initiatives and develop materials (e.g., QBR's and pitch decks) to ensure adoption.
    • Develop and monitor licensor approval processes to ensure successful product timelines. Work closely with the product team to identify additional areas of opportunity to refine this process
    • Develop objectives and initiatives to drive growth, working with product, marketing, finance, and comms.
    • Conduct and be involved in contract negotiations with partners to maximize revenue and inform all key stakeholders with the relevant information.
    • Identify, pitch and secure new licensees that grow the category and the collector base
    • Collaborate with legal counsel to review NDA's and develop contracts. Work closely with other internal stakeholders such as Finance and marketing to ensure incoming revenue is being properly tracked and invoiced
    • Be agile and execute across a quickly evolving range of products
    Strategy Development:
    • Research and understand competitive landscape landscapes to inform strategic decision-making and new license opportunities. Analyze and understand market trends, consumer trends, retailer and industry needs.
    • Define and refine our partnership strategy, including identifying new opportunities, areas to reduce costs, and identify areas to improve efficiencies
    • Shape the overall business strategy based on partner insights and industry knowledge
    • Develop partnerships toolkit including pitch presentations, CRM database, one-sheets, case studies, media valuation and industry benchmark analysis
    Performance Measurement:
    • P&L management to track the performance and growth of each licensor and product portfolio
    • Regularly assess the performance of partners and key initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for improvements
    Project Management & Implementation:
    • Internal communication & management: help ensure that all relevant teams within the organization (Marketing, Product, Comms, Sales) are aware of and understand the key terms of each license agreement
    • Collaborate with a broad range of internal constituents to help define go-to-market strategies and drive sign-off from internal leadership
    • Refine processes to streamline communication, contract management, and project execution with existing partners
    Outbound Licensing:
    • Day-to-day lead on managing inquiries around licensing Topps IP
    Qualifications:
    • 5-7 years of experience, with a preference for licensing experience, partnerships experience, Management Consulting, or other similar roles (i.e. Project management, Strategy, Finance / Accounting, or Biz Ops roles)
    • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, accounting or similar preferred
    • Strong quantitative analytical skills, excellent written & verbal communication skills, strong financial acumen
    • Team-first mindset, with a passion for solving highly complex problems together
    • Ability to handle a multi-tasking environment, meet deadlines, and work across a wide range of high priority initiatives
    • Confidence, intellectual curiosity, ability cut through ambiguity, and a desire to learn
    In Los Angeles, the salary range for this position is $105,000-$130,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. In New York City, the salary range is $110,000-$140,000. These salary ranges are specific to Los Angeles or NYC and may not be applicable to other locations. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.

    About the Team

    Fanatics Collectibles is a leading licensor, producer, designer, and seller of physical and digital trading cards, sports memorabilia, and other digital assets for entertainment and sports properties globally, as well as a manufacturer of physical and digital trading cards. It has secured exclusive licensing arrangements with major national professional sports leagues, including the MLB, NFL and the NBA, and related players associations, to produce physical and digital trading cards and other collectibles.

    Fanatics Collectibles also has partnerships with a number of individual international sports teams and leagues, as well as owners of other entertainment properties granting similar exclusive rights. Fanatics Collectibles recently announced Fanatics Live, expected to launch later in 2023, which will focus on transforming the digital shopping experience through personality-driven content and entertainment.
