- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces.
- Operate and maintain a variety of sheet metal fabrication equipment including shears, brake presses, punch presses, and rollers.
- Set up and operate machine tools to cut, bend, and shape metal to specifications.
- Assemble fabricated metal parts using tools such as welders, riveters, and fasteners.
- Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any malfunctions or safety issues to the supervisor.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Efficiently produce parts that meet and exceed quality standards.
- Perform set ups and operation of the following machinery properly and safely.
- Trouble-shoot machine problems and perform preventative maintenance.
- Perform other duties as assigned/needed.
- Minimum of 1 year related experience and/or training.
- High School Degree or GED equivalent is required.
- Sheet metal fabrication experience is preferred.
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and comprehend all forms of written and/or verbal instructions and blueprints.
- Proficiency in basic math skills.
- Forklift and overhead crane training and certification are preferred.
