Position Type

  • Full-Time/Regular The Project Accountant Administrative' s primary responsibility is to support the project team regarding contract modifications, compliance, payments, reports and any other duties related to the project. Accountants are expected to travel to project sites if needed (if we get awarded a big job).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage all accounting related functions for assigned projects.
  • Assist project teams with any questions or needs related to the accounting department.
  • Manage invoices, payments, and compliance for assigned projects.
  • Understand compliance requirements for assigned projects
  • Welcome visitors by greeting them, in person or on the phone
  • Answer all incoming phone calls from the main office number and transfer them appropriately

  • Distribute all incoming mail/packages and prepare all outgoing mail *
  • Ensure that all common areas are organized and operational; front desk/lobby, conference rooms, kitchen, and collaboration area
  • Order office supplies
  • Submit general office invoices to workflow and code them appropriately
  • Notarize owner invoices
  • Maintain calendars/schedule miscellaneous meetings

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process vendor invoices accurately and within assigned timeline.
  • Collect and track compliance documents.
  • Generate reports including Payroll, A/R, Contract Status, and Job Cost, etc.
  • Input owner billings in CMiC.
  • Other related duties as assigned or needed.

Required Skills:


DESIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in accounting, or similar business degree.
  • Minimum 2 years prior experience working as an accountant or bookkeeper.
  • Experience in the construction industry preferred.
  • Proficient in data entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable and vendor payments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required.
  • Key competencies are Communication, teamwork, initiative, and dependability
  • Must be a strong and organized leader with strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.

Must have a performance history that demonstrates proven skills in management practices, administrative processes, and procedures, including strong leadership, organizational, prioritizing, and problem-solving skills, and the following:

  • Proficiency in the use of office technology & software (Shortel, CMiC, Office 365, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, General Office Equipment such as copier/scanner, etc.)
