    Description:

    Installation or service of Fire Alarm systems in commercial settings.
    Work with a sense of urgency
    Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
    Be timely in your attendance at work and for on-call duties
    Perform a wide variety of duties including attending training classes in and out of state when available.
    Backup other technicians willing to work overtime to provide same day service for overflow.
    Maintaining an accurate inventory
    Effectively communicate with our customers and provide high quality service
    Perform other duties as directed

    Excellent organizational and time management skills
    Ability to work independently with minimal direction
    Excellent phone skills and strong interaction with customers
    Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
    Have a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company requirements
    Must be able to use your personal vehicle for the 6 month contractionary period
    Must be available for overtime including weekends



    • Follow verbal and written instructions, read and understand complex construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications used in installation activities.


    • Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds. Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet or more.


    • Maintain a clean and safe work area. Pick up and properly dispose of all trash associated with company work. Wear appropriate safety equipment as required including hats and shoes.


    • Properly secure all company tools and equipment at the end of each work period so as to prevent damage or loss.


    • Have computer skills.


    • Complete and submit time reports and other documents as required.


    • Bring to the immediate attention of the supervisor all changes, discrepancies, and coordination problems that impair installation activities or schedules.


    • Work with local authorities to schedule and perform required inspections.


    • Perform other duties as directed.

    Top Skills Details:
    1.) 2+ years experience with installation and pre-wiring of fire alarm systems

    2.) 2+ years experience running conduit and bending pipe

    3.) 2+ years of experience reading blueprints, laying out a job, and working directly with customers to resolve issues.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:
    Need someone who is self-sufficient, excellent customer service skills, and has great communication skills.
