    Description

    Summary:
    This position is responsible for administering and documenting safe and competent respiratory care as ordered by physicians to patients with respiratory disorders at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital in New Braunfels (CSRH-NB).

    • New Braunfels (CSRH-NB) is situated in downtown New Braunfels, offering full-service care with 94 private beds. The hospital is continually growing to accommodate the increasing population of New Braunfels.
    They employ state-of-the-art equipment and procedures, such as an Outpatient Imaging Center, orthopedic and surgical services, rehabilitation, a modernized birthing center with 24/7 neonatal coverage, emergency care, wound care/hyperbaric center, 3D mammography, and comprehensive heart care ranging from diagnostics to open-heart surgery.

    Requirements:
    - Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy (RT) or equivalent (specialized/military training).
    - Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
    - Basic computer knowledge.
    - Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to support innovation during change.
    - Excellent human relations skills with the capability to address sensitive issues while maintaining patient confidentiality.
    - Ability to build relationships with customers (patients, physicians, and supporting departments). Prior experience is a plus.
    - Current Registered Respiratory Therapist for the State of Texas (TMB), NBRC credentialing as RRT.
    - Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS (must be obtained within 90 days of hire), and NRP (must be obtained within 90 days of hire; NRP not required for the Medical Center).
