Continually improving processes, material and designs to ensure every product exceeds customer specifications while providing unparalleled valueJob DescriptionPosition Summary:The Manufacturing Engineer - Deltar Fasteners will report to the Technical Engineering Manager - Deltar Fasteners and will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating manufacturing processes in the facility: Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods and quality control standards
Primary Responsibilities:
Project management of automation and related equipment, from concept development through successful production deployment.
Assist maintenance and production teams with troubleshooting of automation equipment.
Identify and proactively implement continuous improvements.
Repurposing and modification of existing automation equipment.
Analyzes and plans space requirements, workflow and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Confers with management, engineering support, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
Represent Manufacturing Engineering in cross-functional design review meetings.Estimate production times and related costs to develop financial justifications needed for management decisions.
Must be able to communicate with all levels of facility personnel and outside vendors. Other tasks and duties as assigned.
QualificationsPosition Skills and Experience Requirements:

BSME or equivalent- 5 years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering or closely related field preferredFamiliar with vision systems, robotics, and programmable logic controllersBroad knowledge of instrumentation and software technology and designFamiliarity with plastic products and their applications acquired through 1-5 years' experience with focus on Automation preferred.
Must have a mindset/focus dealing with high-speed automated inline manufacturing targeting zero ppm.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skillsWorking knowledge of CAD (SolidWorks preferred)Computer Skills (MS Office, SharePoint, Power Bi a plus)Must expect a small amount of travel.
