    Registered Nurse Qualifications

    Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York

    Minimum 1 year of experience in behavioral health nursing or psychiatric nursing

    Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification or equivalent crisis prevention training required

    Experience with Meditech electronic health records preferred

    Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills

    Behavioral Health RN Responsibilities

    Assess and care for patients and families with a range of behavioral and psychiatric health needs, from uncomplicated to highly complex cases

    Identify deviations and abnormalities in physical, emotional, developmental, and behavioral status

    Develop and implement person-centered nursing care plans, prioritizing patient and family needs

    Engage patients and families in establishing care goals and treatment plans

    Demonstrate technical competence and resourcefulness in clinical care

    Stay current with organizational policies and healthcare procedures

    Float as needed to Adult and Adolescent Inpatient Behavioral Health Units
