Description
The Associate Application System Analyst provides support in the following areas: 1) analyzing and interpreting requirements specs 2) learn to create workflows, mappings and sessions for the platform components 3) providing support for production jobs with help from a senior person 4) build knowledge of platform components.





REMOTE POSITION:
MUST LIVE IN TEXAS


Platform Design:


Participate with the team to analyze and determine feasibility of the requirements and to learn to design specifications which meet platform best practices and guideline requirements.

Provide problem-solving expertise including the development and testing of the proposed platform component solutions with help from a senior person.


Platform Development:


The Associate ASA is expected to develop code to extract, transform and load data from source systems to targets using the Platform components.

They must follow departmental and institutional guidelines/methodologies as well as platform best practices for development.

They are expected to learn how to create, maintain and monitor jobs created in the Platform with help from a senior person.

They are to create documentation and do testing of the solutions which includes the communication of activities between other teams and departments.


Platform Administration:
Participates in the maintenance and support of the Platform components. Provide afterhours support (on-call) as needed for production processes. They must consider support, change control, disaster recovery and security in all platform activities

Education Required:
Bachelor's degree.


Experience Required:
None. May substitute required education degree with additional years of related experience on a one-to-one basis.

Preferred Experience:
Two years of Platform administration/programming and/or systems level experience

Experience with Informatica IDMC

Experience with writing ETL scripts
