The Lifeguard Supervisor is responsible for participating in and providing supervision of Lifeguards monitoring activities including functioning as a Lifeguard in maintaining order, preventing accidents, rescuing swimmers in distress, and providing training for the Lifeguards.

Oversee the daily operation of assigned waterpark attractions and develop, implement, and execute training programs.

QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 18 years of age.
Minimum four years in a Lifeguard role.
Must be CPR/AED Certified.
Minimum one year in a leadership position.
Excellent communications skills.
Ability to react calmly and quickly in emergency situations.
Good judgment and decisionmaking skills.
Currently hold or be able to obtain a lifeguard license through Starguard Elite.
Prerequisites for the deepwater lifeguard course include the ability to: swim 200 yards, tread water for 2 minutes without the use of your hands, retrieve a 10pound brick from the depth of 6 feet.
Licensing includes Water Rescues, CPR, Rescue Breathing, First Aid, and AED.
Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with subordinates, coworkers, and supervisors.
Effective communication skills including the abilities to effectively present information and respond to questions from manager, employees, and guests.
Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and a sixday workweek, as required.
Able to work outside in varying weather and temperature conditions.
Able to perform the following: frequently walk, stand, use close/distance/peripheral vision, lift/move up to 10 pounds; occasionally ascend/descend stairs, work at heights, kneel, bend crawl, lift/move 2550 pounds.
Able to maintain composure and objectivity during stressful, critical, and emotional incidents.
Have a positive attitude and demeanor at all times.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time throughout the day.
Must be able to work outdoors at various times throughout the year and in various weather conditions.
Requires manual and bimanual dexterity, fine and gross motor skills, hand/eye coordination, near vision, hearing, and speech.
Requires occasional kneeling and bending.
Requires occasional walking, reaching above shoulderheight, pushing, and pulling.
Requires occasional lifts and carries 50 pounds.

Masks are required indoors per current State and County guidelines. Team Members wash hands regularly and sanitize surfaces frequently. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is currently required for employment.
