The role you'll contribute:

The primary role of the Operational Excellence Specialist is to support the West Florida Division Department of Operational Excellence.

Under the direction of department leadership, the position is responsible for assisting in identifying new projects and initiatives designed to improve efficiency and/or achieve cost savings across the West Florida Division.

Maintains qualitative/quantitative reports, dashboards, and PowerPoint presentations to support departmental initiatives and activities.

Ensures that assigned data/reports are distributed timely and accurate data is presented in a format that can be readily used to monitor/improve performance.

Prepares materials and participates at relevant meetings with divisional and hospital leadership.

  • Working in conjunction with departmental and hospital leadership, identifies areas of opportunity for improvement. Performs qualitative and quantitative analysis to support recommendations.
  • Serves as project coordinator for assigned initiatives. Manages assigned projects from discovery phase through implementation under the directions of his/hers superior.
  • Applies statistical techniques, data mining and direct observations to evaluate processes and performance.
  • Conducts research as required to successfully complete assigned projects. Collects data to support valueadd improvements and outcomes, operational efficiencies and/or improved financial performance. Maintains meaningful and impactful analyses and tracking metrics based on collected data.
  • Prepares various reports, dashboards and PowerPoint presentations to effectively communicate initiates to appropriate leadership and key stakeholders.

Qualifications:


The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or healthcare-related field
  • Minimum one to three years' experience in business, finance or healthcarerelated field.
