Description

The Worship Pastor/Director (WP/D) provides vision, leadership, and direction for all music, audio/visual, and service programming for Mercy Church.

The WP/D is responsible for creating an atmosphere conducive to spiritual growth and facilitating meaningful worship experiences for the congregation.

This role and other assigned responsibilities will be accomplished in the following categories:
_Worship Ministry Vision and Execution, Worship Teams Development, and Campus Worship Team Leadership._

QUALIFICATIONS

Be a person of high character who exhibits a high standard of both spiritual maturity and musical excellence
Hold a Bachelor's degree a background in musical theory is required; a seminary degree and/or strong theological background/training is preferred.
Have a minimum of five years of experience leading worship in a church/ministry setting; seven years is preferred.
Have the ability to lead the congregation in multicultural expressions of worship
Be a seasoned instrumentalist with strong vocal skills
Possess general knowledge of AV Equipment and some proficiency in Music audio/visual Software (MainStage, ABleton LIVE, Logic Pro, ProPresenter, etc.)

RESPONSIBILITIES
- _Worship Ministry Vision and Execution - _The Worship Pastor/ Director will oversee the holistic vision and direction of the worship ministry at Mercy Church. This includes teaching the congregation about worship, creating a culture of worship at Mercy Church, and ensuring the execution of worship gatherings at all campuses.
- _Worship Team Development_

The WP/D will work alongside Campus Pastors and worship staff at each campus of Mercy Church to develop leaders in order to multiply worship leaders to serve in various ministries

- _Campus Worship Team Leadership _-
The Worship Pastor/Director will also be a primary worship leader at the Providence Road campus. Additionally, the WP/D will play an integral role in helping the local congregation grow into maturity and understanding of worship by leading, teaching, and exhorting during church services and events and throughout the week.
